The BUNCH "NOCTURNAL DRAGON" is a tribute to the pinnacle of Eastern decorative arts. The dragon—a symbol of supreme authority—is brought to life through the meticulous technique of Raden (Mother-of-Pearl inlay). Each fragment of shell is hand-selected and precisely set into layers of Natural Urushi Lacquer, creating a nocturnal sky where the dragon’s scales shimmer with every shift of light.
This is a labor of time. The deep, lustrous black of the lacquer is achieved through dozens of coats, each hand-polished to a mirror finish. The integrated solid brass internal body provides a heavy-duty soul, ensuring that this artistic vessel carries the weight of a true heirloom.

The Artisan’s Touch: To perfectly replicate the fluid dragon motifs, each brass frame and shell inlay is hand-cut and polished. Minor artisanal marks on the edges are a testament to the authentic human craftsmanship involved.

The Beauty of the Process: The Urushi process involves dozens of cycles of coating and abrasive polishing on a plated brass body. Due to the high-intensity friction required for a perfect finish, the plating on the sharpest edges may become extremely thin, subtly revealing the silver or brass base. This is a normal characteristic of the traditional lacquer process on metal.
