BUNCH: THE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL FORGE OF MECHANICAL ART
1. WHO WE ARE: HEIRS TO THE FORGE, REBELS BY DESIGN
We are heirs to a Japanese swordsmith bloodline. Hardcore rebels.
BUNCH wasn’t built by suits in a high-rise; we belong to the studio, the anvil, and the precision lab. Our ancestors mastered the dialogue between fire, metal, and lacquer. Today, we break the mold. We don’t do mass production. We believe in the “1 of 1.” Every BUNCH lighter is an unrepeatable artifact—as singular and soul-bound as a legendary blade.

2. THE ART OF EXTREMES: OUR CRAFT SPECTRUM
We are tired of "luxury" lighters that offer nothing but a hollow soul. BUNCH is a sanctuary where ancient heritage meets futuristic engineering. We command a spectrum of rare crafts:
-
- The Metallurgy of Legends:Hand-forged Damascus Steel (1084 & 15n20), etched to reveal its unique, swirling "fingerprint."
- The Future in Color:Anodized Titanium Art, utilizing electrical currents to paint iridescent landscapes onto aerospace-grade metal.
- Intangible Heritage:Ancient Cloisonné with gold-wire skeletons and Urushi Lacquer that breathes and ages with its owner.
- Nature’s Treasury:Mother-of-Pearl , deep-sea shells, and Gemstone Inlays—transforming organic beauty into mechanical armor.
3. OUR PRODUCTION PROCESS: THE PATH OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
Every BUNCH artifact undergoes a rigorous journey of transformation:
-
- Material Sourcing & Selection:We source premium raw materials globally—from high-carbon steel billets to natural Urushi sap. Each specimen is inspected for grain density and structural integrity.
- The Master’s Forge (Steel Only):For our Damascus editions, metals are heated to white-hot temperatures and folded hundreds of times. This labor-intensive process eliminates impurities and creates the iconic layers.
- Precision Engineering:Chassis are shaped via 5-axis CNC machining to ensure structural absolute. We operate within a ±0.01mm tolerance range to guarantee a seamless fit between the lid and body.
- The 815°C Alchemy:Steel components are subjected to a critical 815°C oil quenching. This precise heat treatment stabilizes the carbon structure, providing the hardness required to last a lifetime.
- Heritage Enrichment:Artisans apply layers of Lacquer or gold wire in dust-free chambers. Each layer of Urushi requires specific humidity and temperature to cure, a process that can take up to 90 days for a single piece.
- Surface Revelation:We use a proprietary chemical etching or electrochemical anodization to bring out the final colors and patterns. This is the moment the "soul" of the piece becomes visible.
- Final Manual Assembly:Every screw, spring, and cam is hand-assembled by a master technician to ensure the tactile feedback is consistent and refined.

4. THE BUNCH STANDARDS: UNCOMPROMISING QUALITY
We don't just "check" quality; we enforce it through measurable standards:
- Mechanical Integrity:The hinge mechanism must withstand a minimum of 20,000 open-close cycles without losing tension or alignment.
- The "Cling" Acoustic Profile:Every lighter is sonically tested. The opening sound must fall within a specific frequency range—sharp, clear, and resonant—ensuring the density of the material is perfect.
- Environmental Resilience:Our finishes are tested against sweat, corrosion, and extreme temperatures. Anodized titanium and cured Urushi are virtually permanent.
- Tactile Resistance:The strike wheel and cam movement are calibrated for a specific "break weight," providing a satisfying mechanical resistance that distinguishes a tool from a toy.
- Zero-Defect Finish:Under 10x magnification, there must be no visible gaps in inlays or burrs on metal edges. If it isn't perfect, it returns to the forge.

5. IDENTITY, REFORGED
We don’t make fragile accessories. We forge companions for the storms you weather. From the ancient fire of the kiln to the high-tech pulse of anodization, we create objects that possess weight, character, and an unbreakable spirit.
BUILT FOR THE STORM. FORGED FOR THE FEW.
